He’s the only pop vocalist I admire because he seems like a mix of ego and yet humility at the same time.
If I could have one band at my wedding it ‘d be him. For his rock/love life songs to his love ballads. After many listens, “Angels” is still one of my favorite songs.

to pick up on his mastery of forging words together be it in a manner of eloquence and grace or in a bold statement of courage, strength, and honor.
Maybe he wasn’t a great speaker (?) but he damn well knew how to write in a variety of styles.

Ok, I got into him after Amelie…loved the music and discovered more from previous albums. I started practicing and got down about five of his songs on the piano.
Then, I heard the “les retrouvailles” album when it came out and was mildly taken back. I didn’t have any expectations but didn’t know he’d be doing a LOT more of a rock/indie band sound. I accepted the fact that my classical god had wanted to try some new avenues…and i don’t blame him.
Then when I saw him live in Munich in 05, I was somewhat disappointed. Sure a lot of the songs are from the new album (given! duh!) but that he mixed and most all the classical songs in an experimental fashion akin to something of a beatnik techno.
I’d like to hear what his next album will be like.

She seems the ultimate gal to party with, not to mention mud wrestle, shower with and throw soap bubbles at, and finally just to tell my friends I met her and had some laughs.

seems like a swell guy with a lot of energy. I’d like to have a couple shots of tequila with him wearing sombreros then go at it over a round of foosball.

I’d just want to play frisbee with the guy and talk to him on a park bench about my path to enlightenment among other things.

I think she’s a superwoman who I’d like to see as president. She’d help repair our image abroad and lead our nation with a vigor and value-based approach not seen since Abraham Lincoln.
I recognize she is just human though, and is prone to mistakes like anyone else including Margaret Thatcher and Angela Merckl. I believe she would become a fine figure for American history.

He seemed like a really good listener while also being a great speaker. As a moderate independent with political leanings on both sides of the table, I really wished we had more politicians of his caliber.
Most importantly he seemed human and could relate to the modern, young american.
I wish I could have a beer or two with him in a jazz bar and share a few laughs.
